Rob Frazier is a self-taught welder & started welding in central Indiana while working on a farm.  Frazier has been a police officer, farmer, factory worker, and has been in the Military for 19 years.   His sense of fun is apparent in much of his art.  Rob Frazier created his first sculpture in 1999 at a rented studio in Seattle.  He works with steel, presenting his ideas through texture and heat marks.   He is color blind so will only paint a piece if requested to do so.  “I wouldn’t match if my wife didn’t pick my clothes,” is what he tells anyone who asks why he doesn’t paint.  Frazier truly believes that anything is possible and will spend countless hours tryng to figure out how to get a certain look or idea across in his art.  He enjoys contrast in his pieces and often, whiled studying his work, one might have the feeling that something is not quite right but will be unable to point to it.  Frazier laughs when this brought up and says, “Imperfection by design is perfect!”
